A rich, creamy, and nourishing shave soap made with premium grass-fed tallow, designed for an ultra-smooth and irritation-free shave. This traditional, handcrafted formula produces an extra-thick, luxurious lather that cushions the skin, providing superior glide and protection for a close, comfortable shave.
INGREDIENTS
- Grass fed tallow - Has a unique fatty acid profile that is key to making a good, long-lasting bar of soap. High amounts of stearic and palmitic acid give our grass fed tallow soap bars a soft, creamy lather that gently cleanses your skin. We purposely formulate our bars with extra tallow that's not converted into soap so that your skin can soak up all those vitamins (A, D, E, K) and moisturizing goodness while you wash. This supports skin barrier function and leaves your skin feeling hydrated, soft, smooth, and protected.
- Stearic acid - fatty acid that adds body and creaminess, allowing the rich lather to stay in place on the skin, promoting glide and reducing irritation.
- Shea butter - adds to the rich, full lather. Can help reduce irritation and leave skin feeling soft and supple.
- Plant oils - Formulated to work with our grass fed tallow to gently clean and moisturize.

DIRECTIONS
For best results, we recommend the use of a shave brush
1. Prep Your Brush - Soak your shave brush in warm water for about 30 seconds to a minute to soften the bristles and retain moisture. Shake off the excess water, leaving the brush damp but not dripping.
2. Load the Brush - Swirl the damp brush on the shave soap in circular motions for 20–30 seconds to load the bristles with soap. Apply light pressure to create a pasty, thick lather on the brush.
3. Build the Lather -
- Option 1: Face Lathering – Apply the loaded brush directly to your wet face using circular motions until a rich lather forms.
- Option 2: Bowl Lathering – Swirl the brush in a shaving tin, bowl or mug, adding small amounts of water as needed, until a creamy, dense lather develops.
4. Apply the Lather - Spread the lather evenly over your face using circular motions, then smooth it out with paintbrush-like strokes for an even coat. Let it sit for a few seconds to soften the hairs.
5. Shave - Use your razor in short, gentle strokes with the grain of your hair for the first pass. Reapply lather and shave against or across the grain if needed for a closer shave.
6. Rinse - Rinse your face with cool water to close the pores. Pat dry and follow up with one of our tallow aftershave lotions, balms or butters to lock in moisture and eliminate red bumps. Rinse your brush thoroughly, shake out excess water, and hang it to dry.
To ensure your tallow shave soap lasts as long as possible, try these tips:
- Avoid direct water spray/standing water in container.
- Keep dry between uses.
- Avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.
-
Best if used within 1 year.
OUR PROCESS
After the rendering process, our soap is created by combining tallow and oils with sodium or potassium hydroxide using the cold process method. We formulate our bars to have more tallow and oils in them than what can turn into soap during the saponification process, making them available to add moisture to your skin while you wash. This results in a gentle, effective, and safe bar of soap. They are cured for a minimum of 6 weeks before they are available for sale.
Sodium & Potassium Hydroxide: Sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide are both necessary to transform oils, fats, and butters into soap. Through the magic that is chemistry and soapmaking, there is zero sodium/potassium hydroxide left in a final bar of soap once saponification is complete.
Essential Oils / Fragrance: Soaps that include the use of essential oils or fragrances are created with safety as top priority. Total essential oil and fragrance usage rates comply with IFRA standards of use and safety. We do not recommend the use of fragrance or essential oils for highly sensitive skin, and we do not recommend the use of essential oils for pregnant or breastfeeding moms or children younger than two years old. If that's you, check out our collection of unscented and/or botanically infused products.
